- Carnegie - Multiple Structure Fires
The Red Onion Bar
and Grille had just reopened in August, after being forced to close for nearly
a year, after flooding from Hurricane Ivan. Around 3:30 Saturday morning...fire
broke out at the restaurant...and quickly spread to several adjacent buildings...including
the National City Bank, Fidelity Bank...and the Carnegie Historical Society...which
also houses the Honus Wagner Museum...all of which suffered major damage. Fortunately,
nobody was injured. The cause remains under investigation. Report
