08/06/2005 - Cecil Township - Motor Vehicle Accident

Route 980 & Route 50

On Saturday, August 6, 2005, Engine Companies 10 (Cecil #3) and 12 (McDonald) were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment at the intersection of State Route 980 and State Route 50 (Millers Run Road) in Cecil Township. Cecil Police unit 2831 arrived on scene and reported no entrapment and only minor injuries. Engine 10-1 was already in-service when no entrapment was reported and continued in to the scene at a reduced rate. Upon arrival, Chief 10-1 requested Brush 10 to respond with additional Dri-Sorbe for various vehicle fluids on the roadway. The fluids were cleaned up without further incident. Units responding included Engine 10-1, Brush 10, Medic 2800 (Southbridge EMS), and Cecil Police units 2830, 2831, & 2832.
