May 17th, 2007 - Brooke Co, Wellsburg, West Virginia - On Thursday May 17 at around 1pm Brooke County 911 dispatched Wellsburg Station 10 and Franklin Station 7 for a possible structure fire on Riverview Road in the City of Wellsburg. The first arriving unit was Wellsburg Police Chief (who is also Wellsburg Assistant Fire Chief) reported a working fire. Wellsburg Engine 103 was first fire unit on scene. The crew from Engine 103 made an agressive interior attack on the smokey fire. Crews from Wellsburg Squad 106 and Franklin Engine 76, Tanker 79, and Squad 7 assisted with the final extinguishment. The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes with no apparent injuries. Brooke County EMS stood by on Scene, and Brooke County Sheriff also assisted on scene. The cause of the fire was unknown at the time
