At 17:16 hours NEWCOM 911 received reports of a house fire at 18 Quail Hill Road. Stations 240,239,259,246,Truck 191, and 149 RIT were dispatched on the 1st alarm. Chief 239 arrived first and confirmed a working fire and established command. Moments later 240 Chief located the fire in the basement and requested a handline to side 3 to extinguish the small fire. The fire was contained to the room of origin and was investigated by the Allegheny County Fire Marshals Office.
