2/20/06 - At around 1:00pm,  PSP Kittanning started a pursuit on State Route 28  North of the Route 356 exit heading southbound.  The car was a red Pontiac Grand Am and the driver was wanted for outstanding warrants.  The driver refused to stop and that started a high speed pursuit that went through Buffalo Twp., Fawn Twp., Natrona Heights, and Natrona.  The car was finally stopped on River Road in Natrona in front of Allegheny Ludlum.  Police agencies involved:  5 PSP cruisers, 2 Harrison Twp cruisers, 1 Fawn Twp cruiser, 1 Freeport Cruiser 2 Tarentum Cruisers, 1 Brackenridge cruiser, and 1 East Deer Cruiser.  The chase lasted approx 15 minutes. 5/15/05 - Trailer fire in Springdale Township. Full involved upon arrival. No Injuries. (Kenn Kortese)

7/10/05 - Freeport EMS was transporting a patient to Allegheny Valley Hospital from Buffalo Township, Butler County when the patient began having a heart attack. Freeport Medic 2 contacted Life Flight directly and had a helicopter dispatched to the landing zone at Citizens Hose Fire Station in Harrison Township. (Chris Negley)

1998 - Here are some pictures you can put in the archives of a House explosion in Etna on Kittanning street in 1998, One person was burned from the explosion.  Units there were Etna 149, Cherry City 260, Undercliff 264, Shaler Villa 262, Sharps Hill 263, Parkview 218, Seneca and Shaler EMS. 1990's - Apartment Building Fire in Blawnox in the early 1990's. In one of the pictures you can see a rescue in progress. A cat was also rescued from the fire. Units responding included Blawnox, Aspinwall, Sharpsburg, Guyasuta, Fox Chapel, Parkview EMS, Foxwall EMS, Sharpsburg EMS and Etna EMS. (Eric Rasmussen)

4/05 - Picture from the Fire Department Instructor Conference (FDIC) in Indianapolis. 25,000+ people attended the show this year, not including the last day's attendence. The show will return to the RCA Dome and Indiana Convention Center in 2006, but rumor circulating around the show are saying that 2006 could be the last year, due to the show growing to big for the dome and center. 3/05 - This is a super EMS Whacker tattoo. Our AK Valley Bureau Chief, Chris "Jello" Negley, got his first tattoo on his right calf. It says "Savin' Lives, Givin' Rides". He got it done at Needles of Fury in Buffalo Township. Chris designed it and they drew it. It took about 2 hours and cost $150. This is the ultimate hoopie! (Chris Negley)

12/1/04 - This car was stuck by a train outside Delphos, Ohio. The car was drug a short distance before the train was able to stop. Apparently, the driver of the car went around the gates trying to beat the train. He sustained a head injury and was cited to failing to yield to a railroad crossing. No injuries to the train crew. 7/6/04 - At approximately 11:30 am there was a two car accident on Rt 19 southbound in Cranberry Twp by the Montecellos Restaurant. The SUV was attempting to make a turn and was hit by the white car. There were no injuries, including 1 adult and 2 children in the SUV and 1 driver in the car. (Jeff Bertok)

4/4/04 - Interstate 79 in the are of the Lancaser Twp./Muddycreek Twp. Line in Butler County. Harmony Station 23 and Harmony EMS responded for a vehicle vs. turkey. Turkey was pronounced at the scene - no other injuries reported. (Chris Fessides)

12/29/03 - A truck was crossing the railroad tracks at the Conrail Yards in Conway Borough. The driver thought the train he was crossing in front of was stopped. As you may have noticed, it was not stopped. (Chip Deutsch)
